Bad Tree

Two days after we set it up...it came down.

Damn Tree!

Christmas Tree Adventures

We got our Christmas tree on a rainy Wednesday evening, on a day when Evan decided he didn't need a nap. Recipe for disaster! By the time we finally found a decent tree, it was starting to get dark. As we were pulling the tree to the place where they shake it off and wrap it off, I kept saying...I think this tree is dead. It was hard to tell though, because, like I said, it was getting dark. Well after they shook it off, I knew we were in trouble. Calm before the storm.Christmas tree meltdown!
A few days later we finally brought our tree in to be decorated....

this is what was left.

After we got the light and ornaments on it didn't look as bad. We had a good laugh about the whole thing. Moral of the story...don't buy your tree in the dark!

Boys!!

This morning I went into Evan's room to wake him up, and this is how I found him...

...Wearing his underwear on the outside of his pj's. Too cute!

Holiday Parade

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we met our friends John and Carrie and Stephanie in Akron for the holiday parade. It was a pretty nice day, and by that I mean the sun came out for a few hours. The kids looked so cute all bundled up in their winter gear.

Thanksgiving

This year we hosted the Crowley family at our house for Thanksgiving. We had a great turn out, I think every Crowley who lives in Ohio made it for dinner! Everybody helped with the food the drinks, we had a delicious feast. After dinner Bill, Evan, and I headed over to my mom's house for dessert with the Chrisopulos family and some Hantzsches were there too!

Snow Jeep

I can't believe how much snow we have...it's not even Thanksgiving! We still have a lot of leaves in the yard that we didn't get a chance to pick up before the snow. It has also been really cold, I keep saying I am not ready but I guess it is time to accept the fact that winter is here.
Evan had been begging to play outside, and finally yesterday we had a chance! He got right on his jeep and took off. I wasn't sure how it would do in the snow, but he only got stuck once. The snow was packed on his wheels making for a bumpy ride, but for Evan, that only added to the fun.

The Rest

On Sunday the Obama family along with Bruce Springsteen and his family held a rally in Cleveland. My mom, my friend Brittany, and I headed downtown to be a part of history! Bruce opened up with a few songs followed by a great Obama speech.

We had a heck of a time getting to the rally. Imagine us on the Amazing Race, completely lost and confused. We finally made it only to find the line to actually get into the rally was wrapped around the city. We eventually found a pretty good place to stand, we even had a view of the giant TV.

This was our view.

They estimated that there would be around 100,000 people and I think that was pretty accurate. The city was packed full of people, not to mention all of the Browns fans as there was a home game that day too.

Trick or Treat...Take Two

Wadsworth had Scare on the Square last week and we went with the GG's to get some more candy! It was a nice night so there were tons of people down town. It was fun to see all the kids costumes, especially since most of the kids were probably under 7 years old. There were some really cute costumes.

Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama was at Buchtel High School on Friday. I went with my niece, Sarah, and we waited and waited and waited! I got to the school around 1 and Michelle finally came out on the stage around 4. She was worth the wait, and as you can see we were right up front!

Sorry for the poor quality of pictures I don't know what is wrong with my camera

Hayride

Over the weekend we went on a hayride/cookout with our friends John and Carrie and their 2 kids, Jack and Allison. It was about an hour long, SLOW hayride, but the kids got to pick out a little pumpkin so that was fun. It was a beautiful evening...the perfect fall activity.

Trick or Treat...Take One

Ramie's work had a day where the kids could come trick or treat with the residence. My mom, grandma and I took Evan and met Ramie there as she was working. Evan had fun in his dragon costume, he has just about perfected his roar. He got lots of good candy, more than he could ever eat!

Fall Fun

Gabe, Evan, and Jocelyn had a blast playing in the leaves. Lucky for them, this is just the beginning of falling leaves.

What a Life!!

Does it get any better than this!!

Picking a Pumpkin

On Sunday we went with Nana and Papa to a farm down by Wooster for some fall/Halloween fun. It was pretty cool, with lots of stuff for the kids to do. It was about 80 degrees so it felt more like summer than October. After the farm, we indulged in a buffet at The Barn restaurant which was just up the road from the farm. Of course, we also picked some pumpkins.
We had a really nice day!
