Girls Trip to DC

Over the weekend I was lucky enough to get away for a girls weekend. I have a friend, Leslie, who lives just outside of DC so we spent the weekend with her. We really didin't see much in the way of typical DC sites, we were too busy eating, drinking and catching up. Lesie and I
Carrie and Charlotte

I was so looking forward to getting a good view of the White House, it was the one thing I really wanted to do. Unfortunately, this is what we saw. Apparently this is the set up for the first State dinner that the Obama's are hosting.

Pretty cool view of the Capitol.

Indian Parade

Evan's school had an Indian Parade this week. All the kids were wearing vest and hats that they made and each one had a "shaker". They sang a bunch of songs about the Fall and Thanksgiving. It was pretty cute!

Imagination Movers

Getting ready to head out the door for the big show
Evan LOVES the Imagination Movers! If you don't know, they are a show on Disney who play instruments, sing, and dance around which is right up Evan's alley. Evan use to say that he wished that the Imaginaion Movers were in his world, not the TV world. So when we found out that they were "on tour" and making a stop in Akron we had to see them live and in person! Evan was so excited to go to his "first concert"

During the show Evan's favorite guy, Rich, went into the audience to give hi-fives to all the kids. He eventually made his way up to our seats in the balcony. When he came over to our section he sort of patted Evan on the head. When Rich walked away Evan looked at me with wide eyes and said "Mom, he touched me on the head!" My heart melted for him!

Evan and his scribble stick..aka a drum stick. He was in heaven
