Count Down to Daddy

Evan and I have been counting down the days until Bill joins us in Ohio. Every night before bed, Evan marks off a day and calls Daddy to say good night.
Just a few more days to go...we can't wait!!

Blue Tip

You just haven't had the full Wadsworth experience if you haven't been to the Blue Tip Festival. This year Evan and I did the whole sha-bang with my friend Stephanie and her daughter Anna. We started with the parade Tuesday night and last night we went to the carnival. The parade was long and boring. Had it not been for the 20 pounds of candy it just wouldn't have been worth it, smile. The carnival is a dream-come-true for kids, especially little ones like Anna. We did it up... cotton candy, funnel cakes, pop, games, and all the carny-rides we could stand. The kids had a blast!!

Here comes the parade...finally!!

Evan had about 4 suckers, a hand full of tootsie rolls, and some sweet tarts in the span of about an hour and a half!

Evan did so good on all of the rides. I was a little nervous that he was just going to jump out. Anna was a great helper the whole time.

Birthday Celebration!

We finally celebrated Evan's 2nd Birthday!! Evan was a little overwhelmed at first, but true to his character, he adjusted and had a great time. Thanks to everybody for helping us celebrate Evan!!!

Evan has turned into daddy's little boy.

He had a Thomas cake.

Sneaking a lick of icing. Thanks to GG for teaching him that!

I didn't get a picture of the happy birthday song, I couldn't find my camera in time. This is post cake and Evan was itching to get outside and play with his new toys.

He insists that this is the way to hold a bat!

Here is Evan hanging out with his friends. Anna is in the blue chair and Jocelin is in the yellow chair. The little boy running in the house is Evan's cousin, Savion. The boy sitting on the step is Evan's best friend, Gabe. He lives across the street and Evan talks about him non stop. They are about 1 year apart in age, but play together pretty well. Ahhhh, a new jeep for Evan. This was his birthday gift from Nana and Papa. This jeep runs on a battery and has quickly replaced any other riding toy we have...he LOVES it! As a matter of fact, yesterday he rode this jeep for so long that he got a cramp in his thumb from pushing the button that makes it go!

Grandma Crowley and Evan

Grandma Crowley gave Evan this art easel. One side is for chalk and the other side is a dry-erase board.

Good night Birthday Boy!

First Day of School

Evan started his new daycrare last week.

New Trike

For Evan's birthday we got him a little tricycle. He obviously loves anything that 'goes' so he is very happy with his present. Since we were out of town on his actual birthday we are having a celebration this weekend, check back for more birthday posts. Thanks to all of those who have already sent their birthday wishes.

Waiting for Dad to bring out his "super birthday surprise"

I didn't get a good picture of this, but he has a huge smile on his face as Bill is bringing his new bike out.
He hopped right on and went for a spin.

It even has a bell!

Jill's Wedding

On Saturday June 7th, my friend Jill got married! Bill and I met in Fort Myers and after the wedding weekend we both headed back to Ohio. He is here until Father's Day when he will return to Salt Lake for 2 more weeks.
Jill's wedding was beautiful and we had a great time!
This is the view from our condo on Marco Island.

The Jeep

The jeep is an official extension of our life. We pretty much take it everywhere and Evan rides it anywhere. In fact, he rides that jeep so much that he has worn holes in his shoes from dragging his feet!!
Here we are at GG's house, where Evan found some puddles to ride his jeep in. What a life for a little boy!

We're Home!!!

We are back!! It feels great to be "home". Although Bill is still stuck in Salt Lake until June 24th, Evan and I are adjusting to our new, make that, our real life. We can't wait for him to join us so we can be a family once again.
I wasn't sure whether or not to continue blogging, but since I enjoy doing it and it is such a great memory keeper I decided to go for it. Although, I can't promise that our "real" life is going to be as nearly as exciting as our life was in SLC was, smile. I will try to post as often as possible, so keep checking back!
Evan and Simon enjoying dinner in our new house.

These are the only pictures I have of the house so far. I will work on getting more soon.
